libqmi-utils software package provides Utilities to use the QMI protocol from the command line, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libqmi-utils
libqmi-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libqmi-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libqmi-utils *
You will get with libqmi-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
